About Us

Yvonne Long

Yvonne Long, NCLMBT 3961 has been a licensed massage therapist since 2003 and is the owner of Sweet Surrender Massage. From an early age, Yvonne felt called to help people feel better, guided by a natural sensitivity to others’ needs and emotions. Her work is rooted in mindful presence, deep listening, and healthy, positive touch.

Yvonne believes massage is more than a physical service—it is a powerful gateway to mind-body wellness. A lifelong learner, she is deeply interested in fascia, the lymphatic system, the gut-brain connection, breath, movement, sound, intention, and how these elements influence overall health. She thoughtfully integrates this understanding into both her work and personal life.

A Note on What’s Next

After many years of hands-on massage, Yvonne will be intentionally reducing her massage availability to explore therapeutic approaches that are gentler on the hands while offering deep healing potential.

At the end of March 2026, she will be engaged in a nine-month training in Body-Based Breathwork through Cultivating Inner Stillness. This path was inspired by a profoundly transformative retreat experience that clarified Yvonne’s next calling: helping others access the deep relief and release of burden we so often hold within.

Massage remains an important part of her foundation, and exciting new offerings are on the horizon. Stay tuned—something new is coming.

Melissa Ryan

My career in massage therapy began a bit later in my life, but it has been so very easy to enjoy it. It combines my natural desire to help others, my need for variety in the day-to-day, and my fascination with the workings of the human body.

It has been rejuvenating to find new passion well past my youth; learning so many things through my work brings fresh insights to my life
experiences. I enjoy learning new modalities and integrating them into sessions for the most optimal outcomes for clients.

It is a privilege to witness clients’ improvements in mobility, decreases in pain, and returns to favorite activities. I look forward to continuing to move forward in this field, learning new things and honing my skills as I go.

Corwin Shirley

I’ve been exposed to massage and the practice of holistic medicine for as long as I can remember. My parents were the first to teach me about the world of massage and holistic practices. My father with his knowledge of massage, anatomy and kinesiology gained in his career helped. My mother with her wealth of knowledge coming from her career in Occupational Therapy.

At an early age I was diagnosed with asthma, during high school I was consistently ill and then diagnosed with chronic migraines on top of it causing a variety of other health issues. Both of my parents would utilize the techniques they learned in their careers to ease my symptoms and promote my health alongside other treatments. Ever since, the importance of holistic approaches to health have been embedded in me causing me to develop my own knowledge and join the field of massage therapy.

I love empowering patients to understand their bodies and discover the gentle power of the healing arts. I enjoy being able to bridge the gap between holistic and western medicine while providing a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which to heal. I am always looking to integrate new treatments and therapies into my practice and believe that continued learning is important for any field of practice.
